|

Hey guys,
I have somewhat of an urgent question. I'm leaving Korea after an amazing 2 months, however I'm slightly worried about the airport connections.
When I came to Seoul it was through JAL, and fairly simple JFK to Narita to Incheon. However now that I'm leaving Seoul its via Gimpo Airport and I arrive at Haneda Airport (this is where I'm worried since it's my first time). From Haneda I apparently have to get to Narita within a 10 hour time frame for my flight to JFK.
I've read up on the ways to connect to Narita (limo bus, train etc...) but this is where I'm worried, would I just arrive and get some kind of ride to Narita through JAL. Do you think there would be any problems with me entering Narita (I only have a Korean visa not Japanese) even though I have a connecting flight? And would I have to transfer my luggage myself to Narita?
Your help would be really appreciated!!
Thanks |

I'm certain you would have plenty of time for the transfer in 10 hours, even tho Narita is kinda way out there.
You are probably going to have to haul your bags around Japan, I think it's highly unlikely they would transfer them to another airport for you, unless there is some sort of JAL connecting bus/train.
Assuming you're from one of the English speaking countries, you won't have any problems entering Japan. You'll get a 30/90 day stamp in your passport and that'll be it.
I'm sure if you just ask people when you check in and/or flight attendants they'll be happy to help you. You won't be the first person to have done this. |

Thank You!!
I really hope its that simple! Though the only issue that I can think of is that my birth country has no visa exemption with japan though I do have a U.S Greencard.
Thanks |

If you do not have a passport from a country that has a visa exemption with Japan, then I'm pretty sure you will need to get yourself a transit visa before you go. You should contact the Japanese Embassy to check. http://www.kr.emb-japan.go.jp/ |

Much appreciated!
Finally arrived at Haneda, and fortunately the Japanese immigration officials granted me a 2 day transit pass!! Only took an hour or so of stressful waiting but I got it, so no complaints... |
