Ok the thread topic is kind of a joke because I am in the PROCESS of getting a passport but dont have it yet (i turned in application stuff about a month ago so should be getting it soon). Should I wait to apply for jobs until I get my passport or apply now and say its on the way? Its already late in the game and dont like the idea of waiting but if im not going to get a job b/c i dont physically have my passport there really is no point right? |

Do not wait for your passport to be in your hand! If you know when you're going to get a passport, you don't need to tell them that you don't have a passport either. You said it should be soon, right? Well, it takes time to get callbacks, interviews and finally a position. You won't need your physical passport until later on when you need to apply for your visa.
Good luck! |

I agree. The only thing is if you choose your school, sometimes they want to see a copy of your passport just to make sure you have it. Just tell them it was going to expire soon so you had to send it away to get your new one and it should be back in a week or so. Go to the website with your email address (assuming you put your email address on your application) and you get up dates to see when they finish and mail your application. |

I was in the same boat...I applied before I had the passport...the whole thing was the most spontaneous thing I have ever done |
