You have to write the korean address backwords in english.
like this
Korean address
서울시 가남구 강남동 23-2
124-653
(phone number)
English address
23-2 gangnam-dong, gangnam-gu
Seoul, South Korea
124-653
(phone number) |

Above all else, make sure you include your phone number and the number of your school/office. Despite the various romanizations of areas, order in which you put dong/gu/si, the postal service here is actually quite good at sorting out these kinds of things.
When all else fails they'll place a call and work it out. |

Yeah, they do read English here. They will understand if you write it Romanized. If you write it in Korean and you don't actually know how to read it, you might just make a mistake, and your mail will go to Hongsong instead of Hongseong (yes, these are two totally different towns). |
