Talking to my public school teachers after their meeting, they are like wow old teachers are leaving and we need new teachers. Koreans can't plan ahead and even when they knew that the teachers were not staying it doesn't click for them until the last minute. So they will replace all the teachers quitting next week with new ads soon.

good stuff, hopefully some reasonable offers, haven't got a decent one yet

That's OK. Obviously, they've planned ahead. It seems they've signed contracts with teachers overseas, had them prepare documents, gotten everything ready, and then canceled.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was planned to make sure they had enough people this semester.
