Another poster on a Dave's forum provided this to the mill:

Have you ever heard the Korean saying "iminja han myeong-eul ban-neun-geo daeshin-e hullyunghan Han Minjok saram 10 myeong jukgi-ga natda?" It means "instead of receiving one immigrant, it is better for 10 of the Great Han Race to die."

Never heard of it, and its such a pain in the ass to read Korean written in English. Looked up on Naver and didn't find anything. Seems to me its not a real saying, but a rant from some Korean dude. I knew a guy who wanted to round up and shoot all foreigners here. You shouldn't take these people seriously.

Yeah...at least they don't have guns and bombs like the anti-immigrant people back home!

Its a question - it has one of these...

?

so shouldn't the translation read as follows...

Is it better for 10 of the Great Han Race to die, instead of receiving one immigrant?

No worse than the anti-immigrant things that some people spout off about in the US.

Some, many, all Koreans (hell I don't know) don't like foreigners yet Koreans immigrate in droves to other countries. There are supposedly 5 million Koreans living abroad, which amounts to roughly ten percent of the population of SK. To put that in contrast, imagine if 10 percent of Americans immigrated to other countries. That would be roughly 30 million people. There are supposedly about one million Koreans in the Los Angeles area alone. Imagine if there were a million Americans in Seoul! So, Koreans can set up shop in my country yet I am forbidden from doing the same in SK? Yep, pretty much, according to their logic.

Yeah, but I also doubt that the people who left Korea in the first place actually follow that saying.
