WASHINGTON The Obama administration launched a criminal probe Monday into "unauthorized ... inhumane" interrogations of terror suspects during President George W. Bush's war on terrorism, spurred by newly declassified revelations of CIA tactics including threats to kill one suspect's children and to force another to watch his mother sexually assaulted.
I could care less about American politics and admit my political indifference with no shame, but damn.... |

This is no different than what people do to people everyday. I have seen parents threatin there kids with so much random stuff. I will take away this or you will do that... My wife's step mother said so many things to her and did a few that were horrid This woman was never punished or anything. Our government is becoming to politacally correct and that is why America will soon become a *beep* willow blowing in the wind. |

So because some horrid woman was mean to your wife it makes it okay for the American govenment which holds itself up as something other nations should aspire to - to lower itself to this kind of bullying?
This isn't about political correctness, it's about hypocrisy. |

What hypocrisy? Other places around the world do it also. But God forbid America does something that is bullying. What do you think America was built on? What did we do to the Native Americans? |

Yep, it happens everywhere. Countries may claim "no torture policies" but they do it. Should we? Perhaps a moral philosopher can answer that. On many levels I am disgusted and ashamed, but the realist in me knows that no amount of public spotlight will convince these gov't organizations to clean up their acts. |

3000 innocent people were murdered at work - crushed, incinerated, blown apart limb by limb, and we threatened the man who was responsible with murdering his children. I admire the CIA's restraint, because even 8 years later, I have no problem with anything they do to him. Before any of this had even started, westerners were beheaded, bodies hung from bridges on fire, and threatening harm to this guys family get's your panties in a twist? |

Yes and threatening to murder your children and rape your wife is going to stop fighting and realise that the soldiers are really there to help

Was your wife's step mum ever sanctioned by the government? Did your wife ever press charges or report it? |

Yes, my wife was even removed from her home only to be placed back there a week later. Since some people are so skillfull in breaking down others comments, why don't we hear some humane ways to get information from the terrorist. They would kill a person just because they are not their religion. No words spoken, they would beat you with rocks until your body was life less then they would drag your body through the streets diplaying for all to see the dead infidel. |

I've threatened to rape and murder people's relatives before... I think it was in elementary school. I haven't been arrested yet. Lets hope this trend continues. |
