Yes, Mary is highly responsive via email and phone.
She couldn't find me a public school job in Geoje-do like I was asking, and she said so. She told me to wait two weeks, and then got back to me, still saying there are no open public middle & high schools there, but offering me one in Tongyon, next door. No other recruiter could find me a spot in Geoje-do either, so I believe Mary.
You know the drill with recruiters: use as many as seems reasonable to find a job, let them introduce you to the school, and then you take the reins and rely on the recruiter for nothing further.
Right now I'm looking for a good middle school or high school anywhere in Gyeonggi-do or Seoul for October 1. If anyone knows of one, I'd be much obliged.
Meanwhile, give Mary a shout and see if she has anything for you, but also try Rowan at ESL Planet. He's the best of the best. |
