|
|
I'm getting all documents together for an EPIK position that opened up late so I'm in the process of sending everything off to Korea.
I saw on the application it said "Official medical report signed by physician"
Are they referring to the physical that we get once we arrive in Korea or does that mean that I need to go see my family doctor and have him give me a physical or a document stating that I'm good to go? So do I need to get anything done here in the states as far as medical is concerned besides the self questionnaire?
A bit confused here.
Thanks |

Yes, it is a simple letter by your doctor stating that your not obviously sick or disabled or lied about your health in your job application. Once you arrive in Korea you'll get a more rigorous examination. |

I guess EPIC doesn't want people fibbing a little on their self-health check and end up being sent home later for failing the medical? Does SMOE make you have a doctor's note too? |

What exactly is an 'official medical report'? Is there a set criteria?
One mans treasure is another mans trash etc. |

Things that are listed in your job application would be enough, wouldn't it? |

Wait, what? Is that a new EPIK requirement? I started with the February 2009 intake and we definitely didn't have to provide a doctor's note with our paperwork. I'd double-check with your recruiter/coordinator. |

Is this a requirement for American citizens? I was never asked to submit a doctor's note or anything of the sort; I had to fill out a self-evaluation and that was it. |

I checked with my recruiter, and she said that all we needed was the self-medical evaluation. The health check will be done in Korea along with the drug test. You need this for your alien registration card, not for the employer. They wouldn't take anything from an American doctor anyway I guess. |

I just did the self-medical evaluation as well. Neither my recruiter nor anyone at EPIK has ever mentioned anything about this other thing to me, just the health/drug test in Korea. |

For the visa, all you need is your 5 questions self-check questionaire. For your ARC, you need an exam IN Korea. I think that the OP must have a certain school's contract that doesn't want to get shafted again.
Anyway, you're good to go. |

So how do I get all the coke, weed and heroin out of my system before I go over?
