Another thing, I went running almost every other day after that and sweated a lot, which releases it. But I did toke quite a bit that one session and a few days befre that as well. This health check is retarded.

You should have taken some kind of system cleansing tablets. Or drink tons of juice and water, or do something. I plan on doing a major detox before I get to Korea, I sure do need it Cool

Hopefully you'll come up negative, or they'll turn a blind eye to it to keep you. Two weeks is right on the borderline, you have a good chance of passing, but maybe not.

Let us know how it works out. Cannabis laws are incredibly absurd aren't they? Unfortunately we are just pawns in the game though.

This always causes a bit of confusion. On the immi website they say that the test for cannabis is not included in the results of your medical. I take this to mean that it may show up in the check, but is not included on your results slip and so will not have any impact on your status here. I know a few people that enjoyed a fairly copious final smoke the night before coming here, and none of them have experienced any difficulty in passing their medical. Don't worry.

I heard from people that swear it isn't included. On my test, which I did in March, the result clearly said Negative (somehow) to THC. I'm inclined to think that it is included, but maybe isn't a priority.

It is not required by Immigration, but the hospital may test for it anyway.

Here's what happened to me last time. I'm at the hospital and talking to the doc (great how in Korea you can just walk in w/out an appt, relatively informal) and I say I need a drug test and all Immi wants is that but Immi no longer needs a THC test (true that). And the doc says ok. When I'm at the counter getting the prices on the test the counter lady tells me the THC test is extra (because the sample is sent up to Seoul, I guess) so I say, again, pass the THC test. Another clerk lady says well, maybe it ought to be done (everyone has an opinion) and, since I'm paying, it doesn't and I'm just paying for the usual. That goes on the usual form Immi gave to fill at the doc, with no mention of a THC test on it as I recall.
This was five months ago.

If you have any problems, just tell them you've been on a strict diet

If there is, 2 weeks should be ok. I wouldn't be worried.

Wasn't it already established shortly after March of '08 that the cannibis test is not a part of the drug test? There's a huge thread on this, but I'm too lazy to dig it up tonight.

I'm also going to be in the same boat... although... i'm giving it over a month just to be safe... still a little worried though... but yeah it does say on the immigration website that it is not necessary. Let us know how you make out though... ha ha... could be on the first plane back
