The Korean won reached its strongest level against the U.S. dollar in more than four months yesterday on strong stock purchases by foreign investors. The domestic currency broke through the 1,160 level and closed at 1,157.5 against the greenback versus its 1,160.1 close Friday, its strongest since mid-October.

Lucky Americans. The Pound reached new heights today. I was quoted 2220won for 1 pound. Unfortunately I must endure this horrible rate due to debts I incurred at university. I remember when 1800 won bought 1 pound. Those were the days!

All currencies suck against the Won at the moment. When I first arrived in 2001, the Aussie dollar was worth 686, now it is 902, that really is pathetic. Smile
