Some Korean guy on the subway began hacking up a lung. He stood up and ran to another car as he noticed several VERY uncomfortable passengers squirm and give him freaky stares. Koreans are very on edge after the first two swine flu deaths today. I admit I stopped breathing when he passed, and I walked to the other end of the car. I happened to be standing.

What did you mean when you used the word 'funny' in your thread title?

Were you more at risk of breathing in the germs by standing up? Laughing Ryan, maybe that's what was funny. He took it standing up.

Personally, I find this comment pretty funny.

Not so sure about the OP though.

Did the guy hork it in some other carriage? Never seen that sort of behaviour on public transportation. I'd say the other passengers in the carriage were just plain disgusted, rather than worried about being contaminated with the whatever flu it is.

I've been wondering what would happen if, after getting all sweaty, I got in a subway car and started hacking up a lung. As a foreigner, I think I would cause a panic.
