|
|
So I was offered a position teaching middle school to high school students rather then the kindergarten/elementary school kids I requested. The position states I will be teaching "about writing, essay and so on."
I've never taught in Korea before, but I was under the impression that teaching Kindergarten/elementry was extremely simple and a lot of fun. What with the field trips and such. Has anyone taught at this level or have possibly done this type of work (not teaching English in general, but what seems to be a writing coach). What is it like?
Thanks |

Is this a hagwon...or?
Careful about teaching essays/writing. Make sure to find out just how many papers you're going to be marking (possibly unpaid) every week.
I taught a few writing classes (though not solely) and trying to mark all the papers during my prep time (and NOT taking them home) was quite an effort sometimes. |

Yeah its a hagwon. Yeah i'll ask about the number of papers.
You mentioned you taught it not solely, how many other people taught it with you? |

I mean I didn't teach only writing. It was along with reading, grammar, and conversation. |
