Hello fellow Suwonites
I was wondering if any of you can point me in the direction of a store where I can buy gym equipment in Suwon. Preferably near Yongtong dong if there is one around here. Ive seen a few bits in Yongtong Homeplus but they were abit pricey. Specifically im looking to buy a pull up station and a good set of dumbbells. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! |

I presume from the lack of response to my question that no store of this type exists! At least in Suwon anyway.
Does anyone have any other ideas where I could buy a decent pull up station similar to this:

A Korean website or big chain store similar to Argos would be perfect. Im trying to do this on a budget so if I can buy it in Korea rather then shipping it over im sure it will be alot cheaper. |

Hey Gary-Korea. Sorry, I won't be able to help out with your problem, but I am considering taking a job in Yongtong near Suwon with Topia English Zone. How is Yongtong? The only thing that really worries me is that it doesn't seem as though there is a subway stop near by? When I went in for my interview, I had to take a bus.
Well, I hope you find what you're looking for.
Regards,
John |

Hi John
Im really enjoying living in Yongtong so far. Ive been here for around 3 months and ive settled in quite nicely. Its clean and quiet (at least where I live) but also has some decent bars and restaurants. Your right there isn't a subway stop here. It usually takes a good 20-30 minutes to get to Suwon Station but thats just one of those things. I hope the interview went well! |

They are building subway stops for Ingye Dong, Metan Dong, and Yongtong. I am not sure when they will open, maybe in the next year or so. |

Oh! That's good to hear. Having a subway line close by is a convenience that shouldn't be taken for granted.
Anyway, I will be heading over to Yongtong tomorrow to review my contract. :]
Hopefully, there won't be any problems.. |

If you don't mind me asking Gary-Korea, which apartment/officetel complex are you living in? I believe I will have to find my own place if I do take this job and I found one in Family Tower (훼미리타워). Do you know of this place?
Thanks in advance. |
