I definitely want to be exempt from the income tax.
I am in the midst of applying for the residency certificate, but will not receive it before I leave for Korea.
Can I show SMOE/my employer my residency certificate on the second month of employment to be income tax exempt from that point on? Or, is is the type of deal where you need to show it before the first month's salary is paid out? |

| Yes. A lot of people don't bring it and get it mailed to them in Korea. Whenever you give it to your employer, your taxes should stop. |

| Did you only have to fill out form 8802? |
