| Just curious if anyone has gone through this agency. I tried the search function so as not to repost but it wasn't working. They seem pretty put together but I can always use second opinions/ experiences... Also are there any recruiters out there that people just rave about?? Thanks all for any info. |

I've been working with them for about three weeks. They are very nice and speak flawless English (at least the one I'm working with), however they don't seem to have very many jobs available at the moment. I need to get moving out soon!
I put my name in at two other agencies just to be safe. |

| They were nice enough, but they wanted me to send my documents to them before they had even started the job search process. That forces you to take a job through them. Really didn't like that, so I decided to use another recruiter (or three). |

^ same thing back at the end of '07 when the visa changes were being sorted out. I wasn't a fan of this tactic either.
I ended out using Adventure Teaching for my current job and was very happy with them. Park English seemed to be good, at least over the phone and in emails. |

Park English spams everyone with the photos and far too much of what I'd call personal information of teachers who have applied with them.
If you don't mind having your photo and information about you mass e-mailed to people which can include other teachers, immigration officials (no proof of that, but it would be theoretically possible), and possibly YOUR SCHOOL you may already be working with, then you may want to give it some consideration. |

Park English does have jobs open. They just do not have positions in Seoul.
They have at one Cheongju city position needing filled on September 1st. |

Wow, do they really do that? I read on another thread that they're pretty good:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=149646
But emailing personal information? Do they put you on a mailing list and just randomly email personal information? |

I am one of the lucky ones who receives those spam emails.
It shows 10 or 15 photos of teachers, along with their name, age and where they're from.
Very odd to say the least. |

I almost posted an example once, but decided I'd be perpetuation a bad thing.
It's pretty awful, IMHO. |

| My experience with them has been good, so far (it's only been 3 weeks on the job). The other foreign teachers working at my hagwon in the Seoul metropolitan area have not been cheated (but this hagwon is new and has been open for less than a year). I have found out that I do not like working with middle schoolers. I am kind of stressed out but I guess it's part of the job. I have an F-4 visa. The recruiter's English (I spoke to Lena) was good and they put me in touch with an American who was working for Park English and had taught in Korea before. |

Yep, for some reason I get a Park English email a few times a month with lists of applicants. Once I even knew one of the guys on there. I get a kick out of it because it's hilarious what some of these jackasses think is an appropriate resume photo.
Oh, and all this information is available on their website, too, where you can browse pictures and resumes of job applicants.
I don't think I'd be happy with a company so loose with my information. |

What's the link? I want to see this craziness.
Actually I think I found it? Under the Photos section? I don't see any resume photos though. And it seems like people just sent the pictures to Park English, how else would they have gotten those photos? |

| I don't have so much of a problem with the webpage, but spam e-mailing schools and other teachers with so much personal information attached to photos is downright bad. |

| Maybe "resume photo" was the wrong term. I mean that people think these photos are appropriate to send when applying for jobs. It's a sad indictment of the Korean English industry as well that these are the photos schools expect from "teachers." |
