Has anyone heard specifics on the Jungchul school near Hwamyeong subway station in Busan? I know there's a lot of info on Jungchul in general around but it seems like each franchise is different. I'm a complete newbie who wants to attempt to avoid being burned on my first time out.

Just ask the hagwon for emails of previous teachers that have worked there or are working there now(try to get 3 or 4 ). If they are reluctant you know something is probably fishy. Don't get just one because it could be the teacher who is getting manipulated by the boss.

i think i screwed up here. i already asked for an email but the recruiter just gave me one guy and i've talked to him (sounded fine but he's only been there for two weeks). it kind of seems weird to ask for another now? anyway, i was hoping a past teacher might read my post on here and have some advice.

also, is it really difficult to work at a school with _no_ other foreign teachers as a non-Korean speaker? apparently two of the other teachers do speak English...

Man, ask for another as if you accept working there you will have to work there for a year(or get a release) which is a year of your life. Go in with your eyes wide open. Also, since he has only been there 2 weeks he probably still is in the honeymoon stage, take what he says with a grain of salt.
Basically recruiters will tell you everything you want to hear to get their commision. To be honest he more than likely knows very little about the hagwon. Also, in regards to your second question, it depends on the teachers at the school. i know some teachers that speak fluent english and they wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire and I know teachers whose English is shocking and they can't help you enough. just depends on the personalities there.
