Hi
My hagwon contract expires February 1st. I anticipate having a Uni job starting March 1st (or thereabouts).
I would rather not work for my Hagwon in February (they have offered me the option of extending an extra month). I'd rather go home, travel, or use the time to do last-minute job searches (yes on a tourist visa or my 14 to 30 day grace period after expiry of the E-2).
But my question is:
What is needed for an E-1 visa if you've previously had an E-2?
What struggles (interviews, documentation hassles) would I avoid if my E-2 and E-1 visas overlapped?
Basically,
If I left the country and/or switched to a tourist visa for February, would I be creating a ton of hassle for myself?
Any and all general advice is appreciated.
