Anyone know where I can get a legit massage?
Someone told me that barber poles that turn in the same direction offer massages.
I know spas are an option, but I'm thinking of a smaller place more local, I don't want bump into my students again making fun of my man boobs or something. |

Look for a place that says 전통 타이 마사지 (Traditional Thai Massage). In Korea, "Thai" is code for "not sexual," oddly enough. At least for massages. |

thai massages are also pretty hard if you haven't had them before.. if you don't like a rough massage you might want to learn the word for gentle. |

Goku - did you ever end up finding a place? I'm having a tough time looking around. Scared to ask a Korean who doesn't speak much english and sends me to get a happy ending
Let me know, or if anyone else has found a legit place, please post! |

Just ask about where you can pay to get laid. No need to beat around the bush. |

I can think of a worse thing than getting a happy ending at the end of the massage: mainly someone who doesn't know wtf they are doing and ends up messing up your back or neck for the next few days, all the while charging way too much for the crappy massage. Yeah, I've been down that road.
In Itaewon there is a massage therapist isn't there? Was last time I was there. |

There are decent massage parlors in Itaewon. I think it's on (something or another) Hill. |

There are many sports massage clinics in Korea. Just say 'spotes massagee odi-isseyo?' (Where can I get a sports massage?).
Theres a good place in Itaewon on the 3rd floor above Quiznos Sandwiches where Burger King used to be. Cost is W60,000+.
- falco. |

If I remember correctly, the ones that start with S, as in "sports (수포츠) massage" are legal while the ones that start with A, as in "massage (안마) parlor" are not. The anmas are way more expensive than the sports massages, but whether or not that is due to happy endings I can't tell you.
Just walk into one, and if it's over 100K, you're in the wrong place. |
