Burritos, lasagne, calzone, boerewors, fondue, jaegerschnitzel - at least that's what google.com told me, have you heard of that site? It's awesome, it's called a search engine or something like that, it find of good the information for mad lulz.
But yes, Turkish food is most related to living and working in Korea, I agree. |

Such a helpful comment. And you've been a member of the board for 2 WHOLE DAYS! No wonder new posters on Dave's have such a positive reputation. As an encore can you please tell me what youtube is? I've heard SO much about it.

There are two places that I know of at Gangnam station.
One is Pasha--if you know where the non-main-street Burger King is, it's around the corner from the BK, not on the first floor, might have to look a bit.
The other--Turka--is across the big road, fairly close to the Kyobo bookstore bus stop, (but across from actual Kyobo bldg)--not so hard to find on the alley there that parallels the main road.
Both were good, Turka had better prices. Both Turkish owned. |

Haha, just what we need. Another mouthy newb. Anyway, I went to
Sultan Kebab last night. Great spicy kebabs with lots of tahini. Across
from the Hamilton Hotel. |

Turkish food... ah. I lived in Turkey for two years and would love to try some here. There's even a bar in Bundang that has hookah (nargile). Takers? |

Is Sultan the one that used to be in the alley immediately behind that current shop? The guy who was featured in the Korea Herald at one point?
And what is UP with the kebab craze in Itaewon? |

No, there is still the shop directly behind the one on the main drag. But
I thought the sauce on the main drag shop was amazing. You're right
though, everyone seemed to have a kebab stuck in their craw. Koreans
and foreigners all. I guess Korea really is becoming globalized. At least
in small parts of Seoul (and Ulsan?). |

Pasha in Kangnam used to be AWESOME about 6 years ago. Then, they changed cooks about 4 years ago, and it was far too salty. Anything could have happened since then.
A good Turkish place I know of is a little restaurant in Daehangno called, Istanbul. It's off the beaten-path, though... hard to explain where it is. |

Istanbul is a chain of sorts--there's one in HBC right near Taco Chili Chili. Good place, but weird hours--lots of days off, not good if you're going there to get that (the reliable 365 TCC gets the runoff biz). Very good prices for an eckmek set, though--5,000 won with drink I think. |

It is said silence is better when what someone has to say entails nothing positve. Personal attacks against posters are verboten and TOS violations.
