I found a barber in Bucheon who speaks decent English. He's not fluent by any means but his English is good enough to understand when you describe how you want your hair cut and to have a conversation while he's cutting your hair.
His shop is not far from the GS Plaza, towards the Central Park. If you look on GoogleEarth it's located here:
3730'1.99"N
12646'22.30"E
There are mainly apartment buildings along that side of the street and then one little building with shops on the ground floor and some kids schools (taekwondo and something else), a dry cleaner, small businesses etc. on the second floor. His shop is on the second floor. There's a barber pole out front so you can easily recognize the building. Make sure you're on the South side of the road. If you're on the North Side, there's a beauty salon. That's a different place. If you are walking from the Central Park towards the GS Plaza you will see a HomePlus Express shop on the left (North) side. Then after about 100m you'll see a beauty salon. Look across the road and you'll see a little building (stuck between high rise apartments) with a few mom-n-pop shops on the ground level. THAT's the place. Enter the building (there are stairs at both entrances) and go up to the 2nd floor (1st if you're British). It's a small building, so you can't miss the barber shop.
I showed him some pictures and described what I wanted. He gave me a good haircut. It was only 6000 Won. He was a friendly guy. I'll definitely go back there again. |

Judging by your photograph it would seem so. |

I have never once had a problem with a hair cut in Korea, or in Bucheon where I live.
I point to my whole head, then i put my hands over my head and move them inwards a few inches.
Translation: Cut my hair shorter the same length off of every zone.
very once in a while they want a finger length to know how much exactly I want |
