I have my windows shut, even when they're open they have screens, but I don't even do that anymore. I've plugged up the breather pipe that sticks out of my bathroom floor. I've kept my exhaust fan in the bathroom constantly on 24/7 in case they're getting in through there. I make it a point to open and close my front door quickly when entering and leaving. I don't keep any standing water in the house.

I've never gotten bit by so many damn mosquitos this regularly... and I was born and raised on a tropical island with dense jungles.

Worst places to get bit:
eye lid
lip
at the end of your finger near your nail

They're crafty little <mod edit>ers, aren't they?

I've been bit on the eyelid and lip before, but never on the tip of my finger. That would suck majorly. Getting bit behind the ear ain't exactly grand, neither.

To answer your question: I have no idea. I had this same problem last year when I lived on the second floor, one flight up from the mosquito delivery room it seemed. Thankfully now I'm on a higher floor and they rarely make it up here. So, my advice: move to higher ground.

They can be on your clothes or hair when you come in from outside.

Have you checked you A/C intake pipe? I'm pretty sure there isn't a screen over mine and figure that's where they're coming in from... Will have to fix that when I get back to K-land...

I haven't had any problems with mosquitos this summer. I bought one of those little plugs with the liquid (yellow, not blue/green color - the blue/green liquid doesn't work, but the yellow works really well) and turn on the switch every night. It kills them all dead. Haven't been bitten once. Wife agrees. The yellow liquid works. No smell, no sound, no nothing, just kill kill kill. It's great. Life is good.

In my old place, the mosquitos came in from the exhaust fan over the oven. I had everything else plugged and closed. A guy who used to live there tipped me off to what was going on. I put something over the air intake of the exhaust, and they never came back.

They're probably coming through the drainage holes in the window frames.
Tape will quickly solve this.
The other place they can get in is between the windows: When the window is 100% open, it will have a good seal to keep them out as it does when it's closed. If the window is only partially open, they will slip between the panes as partially open windows have nothing to seal on.
There may also be a gap or a bow in your screens. You can either wedge tight with some polystyrene or use wide cellotape to tape up area's where the screen doesn't sit tight.
Watch the vent where the washer drains to too, fill a bag with water and place on top of the connection if required.

Your bathroom drainage should have a water trap in it, so they may be breeding there. Something to poison them would be could down there.

Try catching them with a vacuum cleaner. It can be kinda fun Laughing

When I was a kid, my dad used to hang a strip of glue covered paper. As soon as the mosquito touches it, it can't move. I have never seen these strips sold recently though.

You can buy them in many neighborhood general stores -- sometimes pharmacies.

Korean mosquitos are the smartest in the world and go to sneak attack hagwons during the day time. Those little buggers hide on the walls when you turn on the light at night, and as soon as your turn off the light, buzzzzzz.......

It reminds me of that frog

I think small ones can squeeze through the window screen. Also windows don't seem to seal well so they can be just slipping in through the gaps.

Just be glad that you can't get malaria or dengue fever from the mosquitoes here. I went to Indonesia for summer break and when I returned I was hit with dengue fever Evil or Very Mad . I spent 9 days in the hospital. It was the sickest I've ever been in my entire life and I'm still not 100% better. Count your blessings.

Were you just in Bali or did you go to other parts of Indonesia? Now you got me shaking in my boots as I'm on my way to KL and Bali next week. I can't afford to be sick. Guess it behooves me to take out travel insurance such as with Travelex or TravelGuard and use mosquito repellant liberally each and every morning, day, and night with disregard to how unhealthy putting chemicals on your skin like this really is.
