Hi,
I just found out from Epik that I am going to Hoengseong. Can anyone tell me about this place? How can I make friends there? Any help would be great. I am black female going to that area so I just need some help. It is near Wonju. Thanks |

I don't know the city that well myself but I've passed through it several
times....
It's a small town tucked away in the center of Gangwon-do between two of the bigger cities: Chuncheon(20 minutes north) and Wonju (20 minutes south). Both of which a good cities with a much wider range of restuarants, shopping, entertainment and fellow expats which is probably severly lacking in Hoengseong.
I'd recommend learning the bus routes and time tables and "escape" to either of those cities on the weekends or even further since you're also between the east (Seoul) and west (Gangneung) coasts. |
