Based on her comments in the book she does come off as being overly negative, narrow minded, and makes very broad generalizations some of which border on racist. I feel sorry for Germans who have her as the German "representation" in Korea. She's like the German version of Paris Hilton.

If she's the same German girl that I've noticed on Misuda then she's one of the stronger Korean speakers...but I guess if it's mostly scripted then that's an illusion.

The crowded Subway comment is a little stupid. So is the miniskirt one, although I think she is trying to make the point that they are so worried about showing off certain parts of their bodies but love to show off as much leg as possible. Probably because they're their best assets.
The part about Korean's bad mouthing foriegners on the subway is true. I've heard it from many sources being a teacher you see they learn it from an early age and many never quite give it up. It's shallow and more racist than any of the German girl's observations. I know a vegetarian here, and it's difficult for her to find a decent vegetarian meal. (despite what mr.knowitall says) especially if you don't read korean and know all the meals. You can't tell by the pictures, and they love sprinkling dashida in many dishes that appear to be vegetarian.
The part about the Korean boyfriend not paying enough attention to her is hilarious, it could mean a few things.

Everyday I see girls with skirts too short trying to make their way up the subway steps, but they're not contorting themselves or doing anything ridiculous, just tucking their purse or bag behind them, or if they're with a friend, walking in front of the friend.

However in the same day I see plenty of girls wearing jeans, sweatpants, shorts, etc. For all the value of her claim that all korean girls are running around in mini-skirts, I could equally claim that all korean girls are running around in long jeans in the august heat.

Whether or not we want to quibble over calling it racist, is immaterial. It doesn't change what it is. Its racism, ethnic prejudice, bigotry, etc. its a label that all means hate for no other reason than hate itself.

Negative generalizations are born out of hate, ignorance and a mind that cannot separate the individual from the group. She's just another in a long line of people who seem to have a serious problem with that.

Didn' t this silly woman slag off expat blokes - saying that they were generally losers who had an elevated position in Korean society that they didn't deserve?

The fact that she was in a tv programme about beauties tells me that ugly white women also have an elevated position in Korean society that they don't deserve!

Misuda is a horrible 'Uncle Tom' show - full of silly women selling their soul for 30 pieces of silver and fame in a land far away from their own.

Ive heard Koreans slag off other people, cultures and countries all the time whilst making stark generalisations as well, in fact probably in every country where I have seen Koreans in i have observed this.

Nothing new here apart from the fact the shoe is on the other foot. It's normally Koreans that have license to say what they want whilst ever last word spoken by a foreigner is taken as a set in stone criticism.

Seems like the proverbial sword that cuts both ways: something a lot, not all, but a lot of Koreans need to understand.

It is pretentious how they cover any flesh. Another thing is how they cover their cleavage especially if there's a foreigner around. As if I'm anymore leerish than the average Korean guy. It's a "mind says no, heart says yes thing I think".

What gets me though is the Kraut slapper wrote a book? Like, a print book? And people would buy it??
