Anyone? My buddy is flying from Tokyo to visit me at the beginning of October... want to help find him a cheap ticket. Expedia flights start at over eight hundred US dollar... definitely more than I thought. Anyone know of any Korean or Japanese companies that are better??

Best one to use will be a Japanese discount travel agency, whether online or in person......Northwestern and United usually have cheap seats between Tokyo and Incheon so check them out.

Also if you are flying in and out on a weekend it will jack the price up a lot...try a Monday or Friday.

Yeah, so far can't find anything under eight hundred dollars... ouch. Might have to hop on that ferry...

That would be a long trip...and expensive, would turn out to be about 600 dollars return anyway including Shinkansen from Tokyo to Fukuoka and then the ferry to busan. It would take a good 8 hours as well. That isn't even including getting to seoul.

I just had a look on expedia and put in a Mon 5th October departure and Monday 12th return and got $467 inc taxes with United

Not sure which dates you're looking for (or how you found such an expensive fare in the first place), but searching on Kayak showed a number of round trip flights on United for $210 during the first 10 days of Oct.

i know when i flew from seoul to tokyo, i went the gimpo to haneda route. i saved more on the taxes. maybe ask your buddy to do this and see if there are any deals with maybe some discount airlines.
