and The Korean Times starts off with a straight news story, discussing the investigation and tips that led to the arrest.

But then they start openly speculating on whether the guy was a necrophile, which seems pretty tabloid like, even by Korean standards. The article states:

Criminal psychologists have raised the possibility that the suspect is a necrophile, someone who feels sexual attraction to corpses.

Professor Lee Yung-hyeock at the National Police Academy said, "It's very likely" in a telephone interview with The Korea Times.

"It's too early to make a conclusion. But I believe he should be possessive and was assaulted by parents or abandoned during his childhood, resulting in substantially damaging his self-esteem. These are factors commonly witnessed among necrophiles," Lee said.

It is almost like a satire from "The Simpsons" Kent Brockman. Not to mention the fact that it was not a corpse , but an urn of ashes.

Sensational!

There was a thread about it earlier, but for some reason, it is gone now. Not sure why.

I did not see that thread. I wonder why also. In my case I am merely commenting on the reporting, and possibly to see what others think about it.
