I've thought about that as well, but you would have to take some time off to do the basic training and job training and also you would need two weeks off per year for regular training. |

do you think you would have a job teaching ESL in korea if it weren't for UN/US troops? every waygook drawing a salary here should at least give a head nod once in a while to the people in green.
FWIW, i am prior service, thus eliminating the need for bootcamp. one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer. |

I know full well what the Army does, troll. I'm retired from 20 years active service with the US military. |

Is it really a good idea for teachers to have access to guns???
It might help in classroom discipline problems...but.... |

Hahaha and now you are in Korea?
So how'd that work out for ya?
Now you're on an internet forum flaming a troll.
Well played. Well played, indeed. |

Yes, I should thank the US. Fifty something years of occupation to secure jobs for ESL teachers. Cheers.
BTW if it wasn't Korea it would be Europe, or Central or South America, SE Asia, China, Taiwan, Japan.... |

Worked out very well. I got my degree in Linguistics using the MGIB and I'm working in a field related to my degree. |

Hey, I don't know about active reserves, but I am currently in the Marine Corps IRR and teaching here in Korea. There have been no problems at all. There is not a base close to me, otherwise I would be taking full advantages of base and PX privileges. |
