Hello all!
Would any of you happen to have a listing of English speaking cosmetic dentists in the Seoul area?
Price doesn't matter but English ability is an absolute must! Any personal experiences you want to share about particular practices are always welcome!
Thanks! |

any details on your experiences there? i went for a cleaning once and was less than impressed, but now need a crown done on a front tooth and am debating whether to go back there for it or find a new dentist. |

I only had a cleaning done there and I had a good experience, as good as back home and I felt like they knew what they were doing. Haven't had anything more complicated done there yet but I'm probably going to have whitening done there so I'll post my experience when I get the process started.
I like it but maybe it depends on who works on you - if you didn't have a good experience, it's probably worthwhile to find a new place. I find dental clinics kind of a dime-a-dozen in Seoul so I'm sure you could find a new place easily. I'll likely keep going there because it's the same office as my derm. so it's just convenient for me. |

I assume so - when I went for my cleaning, they noted that I had bondings and cleaned them accordingly. From what I saw, they do pretty much everything, teeth related.
Feel free to give them a call if you have questions - the English speaking receptionist is great and seems to run the whole place so she'll likely be able to help you if you want to know about procedures or pricing. |

i'd be interested in hearing about how your whitening goes, since i'm thinking about having that done in the near future myself.
in terms of my own experience, i will say that i found the dentist knowledgeable, if expensive. the woman who cleaned my teeth, on the other hand, had rough hands (my teeth hurt for two days after the cleaning) and was a bit rude. i won't go into too much detail, but overall, it wasn't a horrible experience - just one that might lead me to go elsewhere next time. |

I went to Hus-hu clinic a few weeks ago. I would not recommend them. They tried to completely overcharge me. Told me that I had 15 cavities (when I had 5) and that I needed a crown (I didn't). They also wanted to charge 800,000 for whitening.
In the end I went with a dentist who was a friend of a friend (doesn't speak much English) and the total charge for the work was 900,000. (400,000 for whitening).
If you want a good English speaking dentist who is experienced with cosmetic dentistry too, you should check out Boston Dental Clinic. They are located in Ichon.

This is exactly why I started putting off cleanings. I never put it off for longer than a year until I came to Korea. Many places always lie and say you have cavities when you really don't or say you have more than you actually have. I have NEVER had a cavity, and one dentist here thought a coffee stain was a darn cavity. What did he learn in dental school? How to drink soju all night long??? |

I go to Tufts Dental and really like it. Everyone speaks English. Dr. Sohn got her degree in the states and is licensed to practice there as well. I had a really good experience with her. I'm getting invisalign done and she gave me a really good price. I recommend her.
