This forum has been really helpful so far. I'll try one more question.
I'm leaving Korea soon and want to sell my handphone. Currently I have a plan with LG. A friend of mine wants to buy my phone and use it as a pay-as-you-go. Does anyone know if this can be done after I close my account with LG? Or are there two kinds of phone? |

| I believe there are two kinds of phones, but you're best to ask someone who knows what they are talking about. The Seoul Global Center has an LG Telecom representative who sits there all day to answer questions like this. YOu can can in touch with the center by calling 120 (add the local area code before the number if you are calling from outside Seoul). |

| My ex gave me one of her old phone when we were still dating. She had a plan on it and just canceled when she got a new phone because it was locked to SK and she wanted some KT deal. I just took it to an SK store and the put it on a prepay. I don't think there is any real trick to it, just make sure the old plan is off it before you hand it over or even better, go in together and tell them whats up. Just make sure you go to the right store. I did have to go to a regional HQ for SK to get it done since the first three corner stores I tried couldn't handle it. |
