I'd say ask your hotel to recommend one. Just don't use one that the TUk Tuk drivers take you to. I got a suit there lately from a shop that the tuk tuk driver took me to. Hassle , Hassle and more hassle. After 3 fittings it still wasn't right.
Don't believe their lies like this shop only opens to the public one day a year etc. Don't pay upfront, maybe just a deposit.

yeah you are right....i was there years back and got a few...they were okay, nothing to write home about. I am asking on behalf of a friend of mine and gave the same advice you did, but was just hoping someone would know better.
