According to Galbi Jim there are these places called Seongin Orakshils. They are video gambling arcades where you don't actually win money (gambling is illegal). Despite that, they are highly addictive and I loved them in Japan. I was wondering if anyone knows where they are in Korea and if they are any good. I live in Daegu and was wondering if in particular anyone knows about one in Daegu. On Galbi Jim it syas they usually say game room on the side in konglish. As well, is there a way I can find one in Daegu? Perhaps the tourist info line.

I once went to one in Ulsan. It was pretty lame actually. Nothing like the excitment of Pachinko like in Japan. A bunch of low lifes sitting in front of machines in a smoky room, all playing machines in hope of winning a car shaper lighter or plastic picture frame. Maybe I went to a bad one, I don't know.
You will know the game rooms because they have blacked out windows. |
