I saw an episode of Two and a half Men a couple nights ago and Sheen had me in stitches. There was a bit about carving a turkey, and Sheen was shouting "I'm carving it with my manhood!" - I laughed so hard I ran out of air and was doing that dry-heaving laugh. Anyway, what's the consensus on this guy? |

I think that he's a relatively funny guy, but credit for Two and a Half Men goes more to the writers. My friends love this show, but I think it's just so-so. I'm not a big fan of these types of situation comedies, though. |

I think the show is pretty funny. Irritating and funny. Sheen's brother in the show is highly annoying. In China, I was given a bunch of copied dvds of the show, and there were days when I did watch it for want of something better to do. As for the above link? It's a divorce and Denise Richards is clearly out to portray the guy in the most unattractive way possible. No surprises there. That's American style. A little skepticism is in order. |

An actor playing a well written part is considered a great actor..
An actor playing a not so well written part is considered average.
The writers are the ones you need to be thanking.. |

what needs to be remembered when clicking on that link is the following:
they're getting a divorce.
Charlie Sheen has had gainful employment in Hollywood for a long time.
Denise Richards gained brief fame 20 years ago for being hot and has never had gainful employment anywhere.
I don't remember the exact dates, but Denise knew Charlie wasn't an angel when she married him.
I'm guessing she's seeking to "get paid" after the divorce, since she hasn't been getting paid in terms of a real life job for probably 20 years. |

That's the thing, whenever he was off-screen nothing was funny. I'm not sure if it's the writers. I think it's Sheen's delivery. |

20 years? What are you talking about? Undercover Brother came out in like '02.

ok so I was off by a decade. Sorry
actually she hit the spotlight by appearing in all the Maxim mags etc in the late 90's. My ex-boss actually went to hs with her and brought the yearbook to prove it.
I guess a pretty face and two titjobs got her career launched. Wiki also tells us she was a great guest on the Howard Stern show so she should get props for that.
but she never really had much of a "career", showbiz wise. Marrying Sheen was probably her most singular achievement |

Remember, before 2 and a half men, Sheen's career was in the sewer as well. Just luck. |

Come to think of it, Charlie Sheen would fit in well with the ajosshi crowd here. Heavy drinking and rampant whoring? Perfect environment for him. |

true, but Sheen had already achieved far more than she ever did. He was a well known and recognized commodity, a quasi star really before he boozed and partied a bit too much.
She never did far more than grace a few covers of Maxim. |
