I think my ex-boss may not give me a Release Letter. Someone on a diff thread said he left to go Japan and cancelled his visa that way, came back on a tourist and got new visa with new employer straight away (b4 old one expired). Does anyone else know if this is ok?

As long as you are finished your contract, it should not present a problem. If your new employer asks, tell him that your previous employer did not give you one. Leave, hand in your ARC to immigration when you leave and come back on a tourist visa. Smile
