I've been here since May and I've never needed to use the heating.

Anyway, I put it on recently and I wasn't sure if I had done it properly or if I just felt warm inside.

There are only 3 buttons to consider. The top button and 2 buttons beneath that, side by side.

The top button we can forget because that is simply the on/off button for water and heating.

For the 2 buttons underneath, you can switch them in one of 2 positions. For the button to the right, it's for water, but what are both positions e.g. move button to the left/right, for?

Similarly, I am pretty sure the button on the left is for heating, but what are the 2 positions e.g. move button to the left/right for?

There is also a dial for temperature settings on this board of buttons. During this kind of weather, autumn weather, what kind of temperature do you set the dial for?

The make is Rennai.

Thanks in advance. I realize this is a retarded question, but I've never used the heating here, and when it gets cold, I don't want to faff around while freezing to death.

http://rinnai.co.kr/product/gasboiler_r100r110.asp

This is the control panel for one of the boilers by that company...

Is it the same or similar?

I have a Rennai that sounds similar to yours. The top button (top right) turns the heat for water and floor on and off.

The dial is center bottom, and there are two more buttons, one to the left and one to the right of the dial.

If it's the same as mine, it's the one to the left of the dial that will turn your heating on. There should only be two options. If it's on the left of the two, it's on the "summer" setting. Switch it to the right for the "winter" setting, which will turn on your floor heating.

Hope this helps.

Sorry about the lack of a photo.

SeoulShakin - I believe you have described what I have, almost perfectly.

Thank you very much for that. I never knew there was floor heating.

Lastly, the temperature dial is just a case of setting the temperature you want, right?!!!

Thanks Seoulshakin!

Thank you Denverdeath, it's not that model, but the one Seoulshakin described.

Lack of a photo is not a huge problem, but the existence of at least a model number might benefit us all to help you easier.

Anyway, it depends on the model. I'm still a bit unsure of what you've described, but I think I may've had one similar to yours as well at one time. Sometimes there's a heat setting for the room itself as well as a setting for the heat of the water coming out of the faucet.

Exactly the same! The dial circled in the pic, if you turn that button to the right it's hot water only, and turn it to the left it's hot water and heating.

Is that right?

Bravo for the pic!

Okay. Here it is...

Sorry, not a lot of time for a good description now. If no one else provides you with one before tomorrow evening, I'll do so then.

We use exactly the same one and it's really simple and efficient!

Here's an explanation:

One more thing:

Those LCD lights at the top:

Green - the control machine is turned ON.

Yellow = if this comes on, you need to go to the actual boiler and fill it with water. There is a gold looking button that you turn. Wait until water comes out of the plastic pipe, then turn it off.

Red = you are using either hot water or floor heating is in progress.

tzechuk - Thank you for all of that. Now I know my backside from my elbow.

I was wondering about those 3 lights too.

Thank you all, for all of your help, that's brilliant!
