So I'm a licensed Canadian teacher currently teaching public school in Taiwan. I would like my next position to be in Korea where I've taught previously. I have all my documents (degrees, tesl cert, transcripts) except my criminal records check. I'm trying to get my local police station in Canada to give my parents the records check who will then send them to me in Taiwan. Maybe someone can clear up this notarization stuff to me.

Do you think I could take my records check to the Korean consulate here in Taiwan to be notarized? Also, do I have to get my degree notarized at home or can I send the original?

I'm trying to avoid an expensive trip back to Canada since I'd really like to just move to Korea after I'm finished here.
