Heya all,
Up in Seoul for the weekend and need to locate me some houmous. I know there's Petras in Itaewon (haven't been there mind) but I wanted to get take out (to return back to the joyous Ulsan with) if at all possible. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Come on take pity on me I live in Ulsan

If you have any middle eastern migrant workers in your area, there will most likely be a small supermarket for them. These stores usually have everything you need to make hummus, but you have to soak and cook the beans yourself. The one by my place also sells stuffed naan and pita bread. For tahini, I slightly roast some sesame seeds in a dry frying pan, then put them in the blender with some chopped garlic and olive oil. Not exactly authentic, but it gets the job done. |

Why not get some Tahini and tins of chickpeas from the Foreign food store in Itaewon and bring those back to Ulsan with you where you can get the remaining ingredients (garlic, lemon juice, water, olive oil) and make yourself some hummus as often as you like! |
