I really want to learn how to build a website.
Not some simple Geocities site or blog or whatever, but a solid and aesthetically appealing one that I can use for business.
Back home I'd just take a course at a college. How can I learn website development skills in Korea? Are there any English-language courses? Or tutors? Or places online? |

Well. there are some sites that are much better than geocities or typepad/blogger that lets you build good looking websites.
http://www.squarespace.com check these guys out. They make it really easy. just look at the examples http://www.squarespace.com/examples/
Many companies use them. They have templates and east ways to change things and if you know html on top of that you can customize anything. They are reasonably priced aswell.
BUt if you want to make websites from the ground up Youll need to learn html , possibly java and getting yourself a website building software like dreamweaver or something. I dont think you need to go to school for this kind of thing. It would be a waste of money. Theres more than enough resources online if you jsut google to get you started and help you along the way. Also theres ALOT of java scripts and other scripts that you can use for free. Again just google everything!!!! |

This kind of site builder is likely the best idea, seeing as I have no coding skills and way too much on my plate as it is, so learning from ground-up is out.
Squarespace itself is OK, but there are some design aspects I don't like, and the pages don't seem to load very speedily or all at once. |
