I've taken a trip thourgh Mongolia two years ago, and I feel that it is my second home. Such good people, good food (I'm a meat eater) and such a pristine country.
Most people have never seen what Mongolians look like, outside of textbooks of history.
The best part of Mongolia, the world will soon know, is the beautiful and very regal women. The Khan would be proud.

Side issue TZ but did you need a visa to enter mongolia? I'm vaguely thinking of a visit. |

I have a good friend from there.
The language is fun to listen to. I swear Klingon was modeled after it.
I plan to go there some day, and bring a very warm coat. |

I'd have to see what the average girls look like. Models always have too much of a tranny factor to be safe. |

Yeah, you need a visa.
Klingon and other made up languages/races were all pure mongolian-induced.
The average girl is very pretty, in fact. It's not just the looks, which are good and bad in every people...it's the can-do-anything attitude that they have, and always cheerful and friendly. I swear they make really good middle managers and leaders.
Attitude is everything |

Given your choice of avatar, I would have thought that you prefered Mongolian men (not that there's anything wrong with that). |

Are we not all the sons and daughters of Genghis khan. If there ever was a man who sewed his oats over a large area, it was him. |

Mongolia seems fascinating to me. I'd love to teach there even though the pay is quite low. In the mean time, does anyone know the best place to meet Mongolian people or perhaps study some Mongolian in Seoul? |

I've met a few pretty Mongolian lasses, but no real stand-outs.
Then again, I can say the same thing about Koreans, Japanese, Canadians, Americans, etc... Really attractive people wind up on TV, then they stop being human, and beyond my concern. |

Mongolian restaurants are in the Cyrillic village around Dongdaemun Stadium. From Dongdaemun Stadium, take exit 11 and go a couple of blocks. Look for signs saying монгол. |

Why didn't you tell me that when I was single? |

There's a Mongolian embassy about 25 minutes walk from Itaewan. That's were I got my visa in 2005.
I bet they have alot of info on Mongolians in Korea. Festivities, cultural centres and all |

Cool. Thanks guys. I have been to the area near Dongdaemun stadium and went to a Mongolian restaurant. Food is pretty good though it is more Korean style. Good price and the best mashed potatoes I have had in Korea.
I have thought about going to the Embassy. That's a good idea. I'll check into that. Might be a good way to find a language exchange partner. |
