I spent some time looking at articles about subsidies for alternative energy. I'm of the opinion you could move a factory around and make energy anywhere and sell it back to the utility.
It looks like you can do this alot. Its bad, i think we should just make energy because it is good but right now you can get lots of money like things over a year.
I challenge you to look. Take a random offer, like 200-300 per megawatt and then find a generator that runs on fart gas. You can save lots of money that way. Calc the fuel consumption with just gasoline, just plug the generator into the socket. Calc to see if you get money.
You'll have to do volume conversions.
This is about selling the idea to the home owner, you likely wont own these proerties. You can get land and then just generate I think or even lease.
See if you get some cash.

This is not about newest technology, its about getting off the grid. We need to change AC, it'll save 25% as it does not need inversion.

The idea is that an entity pays you for power as long as you use an alternative method. That is you run a generator and plug it into the grid and the entity pays you $.05 per kilowatt hour. If you feed them 5 kilowatt for an hour, you'd get $.25. $6.00 a day, $180.00 a month.
Methane/dung works but it takes a year.
You need a generator, ferment tanks, water and dung. The only exothermal heat you need is room temperature for fermentation.
Fermentation is a bacterial process. The bacteria first eats the air then eats the material and it makes gas and you bleed the gas out. An amount can ferment for six weeks but half is delivered in the first two weeks.
You are left with two products; base product ethanol and well refined methane gas. The gas is flammable. Methane is heavy so it sinks but I'm not certain how to compress it then. It will be collected into 20 lbs propane tanks or to bigger storage.
The idea that this will burn all of the dung in incorrect. It burns 15%. You still have dung.
LP generators are much more efficient than liquid gas and they will run all of the time for at least a year.
Two car sized tanks are needed for fermenting and a still for the ethanol. You can have some cow *hit hooch. Use the methane to heat the still.
