This may be even more significant than my worst songs ever post, but I doubt it.
For me It has always been Dylan: Mr Tambourine Man
odd, I listened to it earlier, and I know the metal dudes write some good crap, but listening to that crap is impossible for me.

Im no fan of Mr Tambourine Man myself.
Maybe Cigarettes and ALcohol has the best lyrics, or one of many great Smiths songs, and also lots of The Cure songs have great lyrics. Radiohead too. |

| If you're religious, which I'm not, a band called mewithoutYou has some very deep, poetic lyrics. The lead singer has autism and I believe that his unique view of the world helps him create some of the most beautiful and insightful lyrics I've ever read. He borrows ideas and phrases from many great spiritual writers. Good stuff. |
