i think i've been greeted more in my first three days then the rest of my life. school is crazy, every kid has to come up to say hi or hello several times a day. on the streets people who don't even know me are waving and saying hello. is this normal for south koreans? are foreigners that popular?

uh from what i can recall when i was in korea, i mean back in the states people would walk by you and if you happen to be in "eye contact" with anyone walking by you people exchange words like "hi how are you"

at least that was the case back in CA, i don't think you get that much in Korea outside of being a "zoo exhibit" people pointing fingers walking by saying "whoa look at that waygook!"(exaggerated of course)
