|

So I'm trying to connect straight to Xbox live (with no router/gateway, straight from the hole in the wall). Has anyone else done this?
I see in the network configurations (Xbox live) that you have an option to enter username/password/Service name ( is the 'server name' just the name of your ISP?) - So I've done this, and still nothing. There's also some additional 'advanced settings' (host name and alternate MAC address). Is this necessary?
Any help is much appreciated. |

I recently set up my Xbox live on my 360 the same day I got internet. I just take the cord that goes to my laptop and plug it into my xbox360. It was pretty much a breeze from there. It automatically gave me a month free.
So- u should have a cord from the wall- to the modem- to your xbox. make sure your xbox is off during the connection. Then just turn it on and click on "Join Xbox Live". Hope this helped. |
