Foreign Bars: What's on Tap and Mike's Cabin are pretty decent.
Korean Bars: I never remember. Try to find ones that aren't hofs, have glass sliding doors and Makoli.

To get to the fun area: Find whichever exit has the McDonald's. If you are standing with your back to McDonald's, turn right. Keep walking. You'll get to an intersection with six crosswalks. Keep walking for a little bit until you see a bunch of coffee shops and a church ahead of you. Cross the street so that the Church is on the opposite side. Turn left. There are several blocks behind the main street you just turned off with bars and restaurants and even carnival games.

The Loving Hut is good! It's an all vegan restaurant. Vegan versions of Korean and western foods. They have fruit smoothies too. I got a blueberry one. The place is super clean and so cheap. You can buy faux meats there also.

People can be pretty meaty too. Does that make you hungry?

According to incarcerated cannibals, they all claim that the delicate flavor of human is the tastiest they have ever known.

Choi's Tacos is decent. I forgot the name, but there's a nice Chinese place near the huge church. Fancy decor and nice atmosphere but priced like any other Chinese place.

as for bars, there's only a million bars in Shinchon so its hard to give any recommendations.

Uh, you have to be kidding about Watts on Tap. The founder has since sold the business and it's more like a Korean joint now.

Bars I'd recommend are Woodstock, Beer O'Clock and certain bars that have cheap import beers.
