I live near Nowon and I need a Frisbee. I haven't seen a Frisbee around, and my students don't seem to know what it even is. Does anyone know where you can buy one, or have an extra one I can buy?

Quality isn't great but you can buy one here in Korea. They're sold at dongdaemun in toy district. It's close to where pets are sold. I bought few of them last year for 1k won each

If you are in Nowon, then you aren't too far from Costco near Sangbong station (Line 7). It's to get to it from the station, but if you need directions PM me or search the forum for Costco posts. I made a thread.

Another idea would be to check out the E-marts, but you probably already tried that.

Does Costco even have Frisbees?

I had enough sense to bring one from home but had a student bust it on the asphalt during an English camp I taught. Picked up a couple from my last vacation home but I won't part with them.

Seems that there is a fairly new ToysRUs in Seoul if someone could enlighten us with a bit more info but the one in Fukuoka, where we do the Busan visa runs, didn't even stock them last year when I went.

I'm a huge frisbee fan and have even been told there are some ultimate frisbee leagues here in Korea. www.flyingdisc.co.kr has a good selection of what we westerners know as frisbees, not the crappy cheap ones I've seen for sale near the han river, etc. When you go to that site, click on "shopping", hopefully you can read Hangul for that. My wife ordered me the squidgee which is rubber and really awesome. Good luck.....

I checked online and their seems to be a Seoul Toys R' Us near Guro Lotte Mart @ Guii Station.

Also try the small mom & pop toy stores that you see in the small market zones such as Jeongno3-5ga near Chungyechun stream. There's one in particular down at Jeongno5ga directly opposite the stream on the north side.

E-mart has one style of frisbee. It's not great either. Lotte Mart doesn't have any.

i've seen three types at emart

one was a recycled plastic one from whammo the original Frisbee maker but it was insanely expensive. I think it was 20000 won

A generic one that was for 3000 won

and another "modern" one that was bendable and had a smaller lip on it than standard frisbees. that was going for something like 7000 or 12000 won

www.koreaultimate.net

Go to the forum and ask the question. They usually have some they are selling.

I bought about 20 Frisbees a week ago at E-Mart. They had four types and they were actual Frisbees, not knock-offs.
