How do you give tests and homework for conversation class?
I am so confused. I've never taught a conversation class. I don't know how to give homework or tests. I'm the only foreigner at my school and my co teacher just started at my school so I don't really have anyone to ask.
There isn't much writing in the book that they could do for homework. Its basically a lot of conversation activities that they need to practice with a partner.
What do you do if you have students in a conversation class who won't speak? I have two shy students who won't talk. I guess I'll just have to give them a bad grade. |

| withnail on this site discussed 'peer assessment' and 'self assessment' strategy with conversation assessments. It is frightening for beginners or shy students to be tested 'face-to-face' with the instructor. Shy students are tricky. They could be just lacking confidence. They could also have speaking disorder like some of my students. Push them too far, they start crying. |
