|
|
Hi,
I am looking to change schools within GEPIK when my contract finishes in a couple months. I have heard different things regarding how to go about this.
One recruiter told me that as I am already a GEPIK teacher I need to deal with GEPIK directly instead of going through a recruiter, is this true? And if so, who would I contact at the GEPIK office? I'm assuming they would know all the available schools for my time frame.
Also, would I need to get a new E-2 visa if I stay within GEPIK or could my current visa be extended?
Thank you. |

My wife changed GEPIK schools after her first contract expired. We called GEPIK and they weren't helpful at all. So my coteacher gave us a list of recruiters that GEPIK uses and we went that route. In the end we eventually found her a job without a recruiter (my other coworker set us up with a GEPIK school nearby).
Good luck in your search for a new school. |

| You don't need a new E2, it's easy. Just get a transfer of location and apply before your current contract and visa ends. |
