I just found out i have to teach a listening clinic this semester, about 50 ish uni students, all of varying different levels. i wanna try and make it as interesting as possible. Has any got any good ideas for listening activities? I really like to incorporate some activities involving various different accents from around the world. 2 hour class so got a lot of time to fill!!

Oh what an interesting challenge!!
I can tell you my favorite activity in foreign language classes:
Find a popular song. Since you have different levels of students, use one that maybe has an easy-to-understand chorus, but little bit more complex verses. It's also great if they reference Western culture somehow. I think "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift would be a great one. "She wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts, she's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers". It's an opportunity to teach about American high schools (cheerleading, team sports, clothing, etc.) while using sentence structure that's not too difficult to understand. "Waking up in Vegas" by Katy Perry might be good since your students are college-aged. You can also do some good classics. "Down Under" by Men at Work for Australia. "It's Raining Men" to introduce idioms. "I love Rock 'n' Roll". Etc. Generally passing out lyrics helps a lot too, and you can even put blanks in some of the easier words so that they have to actively listen and try to fill them in.
Some other ideas:
-music videos
-Clips from TV shows. A couple examples:

....yeah. Hmm, what else? You can also do children's shows or have "storytime" for the elementary level students.
Documentaries might be good too.
OK I'm done! |

THIS might give you some ideas.
Also, try Last One Standing - great song listening game for large groups . Click lastonestanding for some examples.
Good luck,
