SEOUL - SOUTH Korea plans to invest 14.1 trillion won (US$11.3 billion, S$16.3 billion) by 2013 to develop its information- technology industry, the presidential office said. .................. The investments are also geared to upgrade the nation's Internet network.............

If we don't have to use "Active X" anymore - and Korea programs will finally work on Vista and windows 7 - it will be a good thing..

but 4 years is still a bit late.

I doubt that's going to happen. There was an article about this while back about SK gov't investing decent amount to upgrade current infrastructure but from what the article i read, the companies that made what internet is today in SK is still trying to get there money back. It's not going to happen by that time they're talking about. But who knows what'll happen by then. It's till long way to go before we know what will happen in private sector.
