Hello. I've started the interview process with a school in Incheon with Cindy Park from Good English. I haven't signed anything, as I haven't gotten the job for sure. I should find out today or tomorrow. I am just wondering if anyone has any information about Cindy Park? So far she has been excellent with communication and has been answering my questions. I was just hoping to hear from someone that she is a trustworthy recruiter! Thanks Smile

My, off topic, two cents:

Don't worry too much about your recruiter. A shitty recruiter can still find you a good job.

I have one stead fast rule for finding a job here. Get the email addresses of as many current foreign employees as possible and ask then every single pertinent question you can think of.

Happy current employees is a great sign.

Couple things.

1. A recruiter should not be expected to hold your hand or help should anything go wrong. They exist to connect you to schools who need teachers, and that is it. A "good" recruiter will find you jobs that match the criteria you sent them, and a "bad" recruiter won't. After that, it's up to you, not them, because their job is done.

2. Always, always, ALWAYS talk on the phone to instructors who are already at the school, or get in touch with instructors who have taught there recently. That's the absolute biggest most important thing in the world that I can stress, because they're the ones that will give you an honest answer to the current teaching situation.
