Well after much consideration the wife and I have decided to spend a week on Phi Phi Island, Thailand during Christmas vacation. For anyone who has been there, where did you stay and would you reccomend it?
We are looking for an average priced hotel, near/on the beach, and with access to the main village/town as well. Thanks for any input. |

I think you have to be more specific before you get anyone to recommend anything, first is budget. Long Beach is not far from the town, but you have to take a longtail to get there. You can PM me if you like, I live in Phuket so might have some places to recommend for you. |

Too expensive stay in Au Nang Krabbi. Which is just as good as Phi Phi but a better nightlife. Take a day tour of Phi Phi.
Avoid the Touts don't be intimidated there will always be a room somewhere. If you really want to do it cheap stay in Krabbi Town for approximatly 400 baht a night. Can get anywhere including the beautiful
Railay beach. |

I stayed on Long Beach and it was cheap. Ko Phi Phi was, to my thinking, much better than Ao Nang. Long beach is an awesome place to get away. But if you want a night life, look elsewhere. |
