Does anyone know where i can find an accupuncturist in Changwon that speaks reasonable English? I've been to one guy a few times and he is good, but he doesn't really speak a word and i normally have to go with scribbled notes from my Korean co workers, which is a little frustrating.

Thanks

Good luck man! I'd be surprised if you get any help, but you never know. There can't be that many people that, use eslcafe, live in Changwon, go to an English speaking acupuncturist.

Stranger things have happened though!

I hear your frustration... I've been going to a guy who is very good but barely speaks any english... it becomes a game of charades, trying to describe the type of pain and what you need...

At my clinic, I'm usually in a room with 7 or 8 others.. and I watch them get the needles as their faces wince. It's funny - one woman had about 3 needles in each hand, and of course she was required to keep her hands very still. THEN her phone rang in her purse and all bets were off - she fumbled around in her purse trying to answer that call! Wow, she sure didn't want to miss a call and was willing to sacrifice the needles in her hands causing further inflammation by moving them around...

krazy koreans I tell ya
